Title: Elevated Mast Photos are Powerful Tools.

Date:  June 10, 2009

Real Estate marketing has evolved over the years like many other industries and services.  Today, people are using the internet to shop, buy, and to become informed.  When potential clients are searching the internet for homes, they see countless pictures.  Usually the small photo on the listing is the first one and can be the only shot you have to impress shoppers.  Ask yourself if the photos you are putting in your listings are good enough to convey the true value of the home.  There are many homes on the market and people just do not have time to visit each home personally, therefore, they will eliminate many candidates by just looking closely at the photos you present.  One sure way to capture the attention of web shoppers is with a great cover photo of the front of the home. Our elevated mast shots can rise 50 feet above the property and let the viewer see views that make ordinary homes look marvelous.  Once you have their attention you can be assured they will open the full listing and be curious to see the full assortment of photos you have posted.  Here is where you really sell the home.  The elevated shot has them looking closer, now dazzle them with the best photography you can get.  A1 Aerial Photos can get the elevated shot and while we are there, let us take a complete set of interior photos that will make shoppers want to see your property in person.  Here is a recent elevated shot that was used for the cover of Homes and Land magazine.

Title:  Spring Weather is best for aerial photos.

Date:  March 16, 2009

The winter season is over and spring weather is beginning to move into the Gulf Coast area.  We have seen a major increase in the green color of the grass and vegetation.  Warmer weather and occasional rain will continue to improve the colors of the vegetation and spring flowers making this an excellent time to capture those marketing photos.  The water color and clarity is also much better this time of year and we all know that our beautiful beaches and emerald green waters is why so many love to visit the Gulf Coast.  Please remember that A1 Aerial Photography can serve all you aerial media needs anywhere along the Gulf Coast from Panama City to Gulf Shores and anywhere in between.  We are looking forward to another year serving our clients with the best low-level aerial photography and video along the Gulf of Mexico. Send us your thoughts in an email to

2008 Destin Seafood Festival

Fall Weather and Aerial Photos

Date:  October 4, 2008

October has brought with it some cooler temperatures and wonderful blue skies.  Those blue skies you've been seeing are the result of lower humidity levels associated with high pressure and cooler winds from the north.   I know that sounds like a weatherman talking, but in our business the weather has a tremendous impact on our photography and it is important to our forecasting the days we shoot our aerial photos and aerial video.  We could not have asked for better weather this past weekend, allowing many outdoor activities like the 30th Annual Destin Seafood Festival depicted in the photo above.  There are many more good days left this year to capture aerial photography before the grasses become brown.  Please contact our office to schedule an aerial photography or aerial video appointment.

Title:  A1 Aerial Photography Introduces our NEW Elevated Aerials.

Date:  September 15, 2008

A1 Aerial Photography now offers our clients a new service that fills the gap between aircraft aerial photography and ground photography.  We call it our High Point Elevated shots and they cost much less than our aircraft aerial photography services.   We travel to your property location, and using our mast system, we take aerial photos from 0 to 50 feet of height.  These photographs offer a better alternative for homes or property that are surrounded by trees or other obstructions that hinder photos taken from the helicopter.  These elevated photos are also a great choice when trying to bring out the details of a beautiful landscape package including paver driveways, pool decks, boat docks, and other elements that add value to the property.  The 50 foot aerial photography will provide a great option for waterfront homes, golf course homes, and commercial properties.  We can also arrange to have a group photo of employees in front of your place of business.  There are many advantages of using a mast photography system so please call the office for any questions about this new service.   We are currently offering this service at a promotional rate of $99.00 per residential site and $170.00 for commercial sites.

Title: Billy Bowlegs Helicopter Aerials

Date: June 17, 2008

Thank you for visiting our site today. The weather has been marginal for aerial photography, but we have managed to complete some great aerial photo sessions recently. Our most recent aerial photo mission included both aerial video and aerial photos. During the weekend of June 7, 2008, we captured aerial shots of the Annual Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. This annual event attracts hundreds of locals and visitors to the Fort Walton Beach Landing, where music, food, games, and fun live are abundant. This year seemed to attract a large number of boats that formed a line that stretched about 5 miles in length. The boats gathered in the inter coastal waterway where the FWB Landing is located. Boats tie up to each other on the sand bar, where people can swim, eat, drink, and enjoy the Florida sunshine. Average temperature during the day was about 85 degrees F., and a nice breeze provided cooling nearly all day. This is the largest outdoor event for Fort Walton Beach and they continue to make it better each year with the addition of fireworks, parade, and live music. Just bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the event during the first week of June each year.

We also caught some recent pictures of Crab Island in the Destin pass where, despite the Billy Bowlegs Festival, still attracted many boaters. Our last photo mission was flown by helicopter pilot Larry Zeliadt, owner and operator of Emerald Coast Helicopters in Destin, Florida. Larry is a great pilot and is able to fly us close to the subject for the best aerial photography and aerial video. Please visit our site often and check for the recent news and added photography. Our Cities From Above web site is a great site to see many local aerial photos and stabilized aerial video of the Florida Gulf Coast including Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Navarre, Rosemary Beach, South Walton County, Pensacola, Orange Beach, and Panama City.

Welcome to the new A1 Aerial Photography news section.    Summer is here now and the beaches are starting to see more traffic.  The number of sharks we normally see along the coast has decreased from last year, although I cannot say why, its a good thing.  The water has taken a darker tone of green with some of the seaweed beginning its migration to the shores.  The aerial photography is more challenging this time of year due to the increase in humidity resulting in haze.  Do not worry, with helicopter aerial photos we can get very close to your subject to minimize the affect of haze and capture wonderful aerial photography year around.  We are in the process of enhancing the web site and revising our popular Cities From Above web site.  The web site will take on some new changes and we are adding a Media Store.  The Media Store will be an exciting new area that allows our viewers to purchase photographs or videos.  We will begin to add stock photography of the entire area and video of key areas that can be purchased with various user rights to display on your web site or use in printed marketing materials.  The stock aerial photo area will include pictures that have been edited for color and clarity to provide you with pictures that are perfect for web sites, brochures, business cards, postcards, rack cards and beautiful color prints.  Pay with credit card online and download the media purchase directly to your computer or have enlarged color prints shipped directly your home or office.  We also have a complete design team and web developer that can put your favorite pictures into marketing materials for print, add the photos or videos to your web site and much, much more.  You can look forward to seeing carefully organized photos of key areas such as Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Navarre, Sandestin, Santa Rosa Beach, South Santa Rosa County, Panama City, Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and more.  Check back often and see the updates as we transform Cities From Above into an exciting media experience that allows our viewers to see the Gulf Coast from an amazing new perspective.  The launch goal for the revised site is set for summer 2008, so please check back often to see our latest developments.  Please join our mailing list to stay informed on the latest news and be advised of the latest photo and video uploads.
